How and why we use personal information

We use personal information for the purposes below and only where we have an appropriate reason under applicable law.

Purpose Typical reason for processing
Serve customers and B2B buyers To answer enquiries, understand requirements, prepare quotations, confirm availability, manage accounts and provide product or sizing information. This supports steps requested before a transaction, performance of a contract and our legitimate business interests.
Process and fulfil orders To accept and reconcile payments, issue invoices, allocate stock, pack, ship, deliver and communicate order status. This is necessary to perform a contract and meet accounting or legal obligations.
After-sales care To respond to questions, verify fulfilment or manufacturing issues, manage claims, provide support and maintain service records. This supports our contract and legitimate interest in dependable customer service.
Operate and improve SHE EDGE To maintain the Site, understand demand, improve collections and user experience, troubleshoot problems, conduct analytics and manage business operations. We rely on legitimate interests and consent where required.
Marketing and personalization To send collection updates, offers or broadcasts, measure campaigns and show relevant content or advertising. We rely on consent where required and otherwise on legitimate interests permitted by law.
Collaborations and recruitment To review creator profiles, plan campaigns, assess applicants, arrange interviews or trials and keep relevant correspondence. This supports requested pre-contract steps, consent and legitimate interests.
Safety, fraud and legal compliance To secure accounts and transactions, prevent misuse, enforce agreements, preserve records, resolve disputes and comply with lawful requests, tax, accounting and other legal duties.

Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully. Where we rely on legitimate interests, we consider our business need, necessity and potential impact on your rights.

How we disclose personal information

We may disclose relevant personal information to the following categories of recipients when reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy:

  • Shopify and ecommerce providers that host, operate, secure and support our online store and checkout;
  • payment providers, banks and financial services that process or verify transactions and help prevent fraud;
  • couriers, freight handlers, warehouses and delivery partners that fulfil and deliver orders;
  • technology and operations providers supporting email, messaging, customer care, cloud storage, security, website functions and business administration;
  • analytics, advertising and social media providers such as Google, Meta or TikTok when their services, pixels or campaign tools are enabled;
  • professional advisers including accountants, auditors, insurers and legal advisers;
  • government, courts, regulators or law-enforcement bodies where disclosure is lawfully required or necessary to protect rights, safety and security; and
  • parties to a business transaction if SHE EDGE is involved in a merger, financing, restructuring, sale or transfer, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal requirements.

We seek to share only information relevant to the service or lawful purpose. Service providers may process information on our instructions, while some providers—such as payment services, social platforms or Shopify for certain services—may also act independently under their own privacy terms.

No sale for money SHE EDGE does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. However, using advertising cookies or pixels can be treated as “sharing”, “sale” or “targeted advertising” under certain privacy laws even when no money changes hands. Applicable opt-out choices are described below.

Shopify and our online store

Our Site and online store are hosted by Shopify. When you visit the Site, browse products, use checkout or interact with store features, Shopify collects and processes personal information to provide ecommerce, hosting, security, fraud prevention, analytics, personalization and related services.

Depending on our Shopify settings, the features used and your privacy choices, Shopify may also process information about your interactions with this store, other merchants and Shopify to provide enhanced services—such as a more personalized experience, improved performance, relevant advertising and measurement. Information may be shared with Shopify and relevant third parties in countries other than your own to provide these services.

Service messages about active enquiries, orders, payments or deliveries are not promotional and may continue where necessary.

Retention and international transfers

How long we keep information

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including to provide services, maintain business and transaction records, manage after-sales obligations, consider applications or collaborations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and meet legal, tax, accounting or reporting requirements.

Retention periods vary by record type and are assessed using the nature and sensitivity of the information, the amount and context of processing, the risk of harm, operational needs and applicable law. When information is no longer required, we may delete it, anonymize it or securely isolate it until deletion is possible. A valid deletion request may be limited where records must be retained for a lawful reason.

Processing in other countries

SHE EDGE is based in Pakistan, while Shopify and some of our technology, payment, communications, analytics, advertising, storage or delivery providers may process personal information in other countries. Those countries may have privacy laws different from those where you live. Where required, we use contractual, organizational or other appropriate safeguards for international transfers and rely on lawful transfer mechanisms available to the relevant provider.

How we protect personal information

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure. These may include access controls, limited staff access, reputable platforms and service providers, transaction verification, secure account practices and appropriate record handling.

No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. You are responsible for keeping account credentials, device access, PINs and one-time codes confidential. If you believe your interaction with SHE EDGE or an account has been compromised, contact us promptly.

Where a personal data incident occurs, we will investigate, take reasonable steps to contain and address it, and provide notices when required by applicable law.

Your privacy rights and choices

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have the right to:

  • request access to or a copy of personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • request deletion or erasure of information;
  • restrict or object to certain processing;
  • request portability of information you provided in an applicable format;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • opt out of direct marketing, targeted advertising, sale or sharing where the law provides that choice; and
  • make a complaint to an applicable privacy or regulatory authority.

To submit a request, email official@sheedge.com with the subject “Privacy Rights Request” and explain the right you wish to exercise. We may need to verify your identity and relationship with us before completing a request. If an authorized agent acts for you, we may request proof of authority and verification from you directly.

We will respond within the period required by applicable law. Rights are not absolute; we may refuse or limit a request where legally permitted, including to protect another person’s rights, preserve transaction or tax records, establish legal claims, prevent fraud or comply with law. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

Safer way to make a request Email is the preferred channel for privacy-rights requests. Do not send a national identity card, passport, banking PIN, one-time code or other highly sensitive document through WhatsApp or social media unless our team has specifically requested an appropriate verification step.

Regional privacy disclosures

Pakistan

We process personal information in accordance with privacy, electronic transactions, cybercrime, consumer, tax and other requirements applicable to our operations in Pakistan, as those requirements develop or change.

EEA, United Kingdom and Switzerland

Where European data protection law applies, our legal bases may include performance of a contract or steps requested before a contract, compliance with legal obligations, our legitimate interests where they do not override your rights, and consent. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Where consent is required for non-essential cookies or personalized advertising, those technologies should not be used for those purposes until consent is obtained.

United States privacy laws

Residents of certain US states may have rights to know, access, correct or delete personal information and to opt out of processing that qualifies as sale, sharing or targeted advertising. SHE EDGE does not sell personal information for money. Some advertising or analytics disclosures may nevertheless fall within broader legal definitions of sale or sharing. Use the Site’s available privacy or cookie controls, visit the Shopify Privacy Portal, or email us to make an applicable request.

If another jurisdiction’s privacy law applies to your interaction with us, we will honor the rights and obligations required by that law, subject to lawful limitations.

Children and third-party services

Children’s privacy

The Site and our wholesale services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information through the Site without appropriate parental or guardian involvement. Our sale of children’s clothing does not mean the Site is directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

External websites and social platforms

The Site may link to WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Google Maps, payment services or other third-party services. Those services control their own privacy practices. Information you post publicly, message through a platform or provide after leaving our Site is also governed by that provider’s terms and privacy policy. We encourage you to review them before sharing information.

Automated decision-making

SHE EDGE does not ordinarily make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about customers solely through automated processing. Shopify, payment services or fraud-prevention providers may use automated tools to identify suspicious activity, secure accounts or assess transaction risk. If applicable law gives you rights concerning a significant automated decision, you may contact us to request information or human review, subject to lawful security and fraud-prevention restrictions.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services, Shopify or other providers, installed apps, business practices, legal requirements or for operational and security reasons. We will publish the revised policy on this page and update the effective or “last updated” date. Where required, we will provide additional notice of material changes.

We encourage you to review this page periodically, especially before providing new personal information.
